Field trip to the Getty with Grandma and Grandpa.

Umm...Jack said that his favorite part of the day was taking pictures of the naked statues.

Another great field trip!

Cooking with Jack.

Jack wanted to help Dad make dinner for Mama.
Taco Night!

Up close with a spider.

I found a spider in the house. Time for some screaming, I mean, impromptu science.

After much observation, Jack decided that it is "definitely a jumping spider!"

Through Jack's Eyes.

Dad had the day off so we went to Universal Studios.

The crowds were light and a good time was had by all.
The most interesting part of the day happened when I decided to let Jack loose with my camera.

Accidental Self-Portrait?

We had pizza at Miceli's for lunch.

Walking back to the truck, Jack discovered this old trash bin.

Great field trip!

Let's make a baby harp seal stuffed animal.

That's what Jack said when I asked him what he wanted to do this week.  After some planning and shopping we got to work.

Jack drew the pattern.

I traced the pattern onto fabric, pinned and cut.
After several hours of hand-stitching I passed it back to Jack for stuffing.
He decided to add a heart and a wish (to have his baby harp seal in his life forever).
The finished product. Not bad for a non-sewing mama and a 6 year-old designer!
"I can't believe we made our own baby harp seal."
"I love it Mom!"
